In 2000 Virginia founded C.O.M.E. Dance, Coalition
of Middle Eastern Dance & Arts, an educational organization dedicated to excellence in performance and instruction of Middle Eastern Dance & Arts. It’s goal is to create a great appreciation and understanding of this extraordinary art form and culture with quality performances and productions, and through intensive dance study programs.

Highlights

Virginia is the recipient of the Giza Award for Traditional Solo Dance to Live Music (2003).
Virginia has recently performed with the widely enjoyed Egyptian performer Dina, has danced for
the Saudi Arabian Royal Family, toured with the reknowned Egyptian singer Mustafa Amar, and has been featured in film, television, newspaper, and theatre around the world including MTV. The renowned Cirque de Soleil sought her out to audition for their performing company. She has entertained sold-out audiences at all five of her Middle Eastern dance productions in Miami:

Echoes of Cairo, Odalisca Oriental, Cairo Cabaret, “Egyptia”, and Amal Hayati. These have featured her professional performing company Virginia Wa Nour Al Ayun and her Ensembles along with Master Performers."

Classes & Workshops

Virginia is an excellent instructor who has developed a loyal following through her motivational and challenging Oriental Dance programs. These have been developed into a curriculum for Beginner through Advanced levels with specialty Master Classes. She was also invited by Florida State University's Masters in Fine Arts program to teach, choreograph, and perform Middle Eastern Dance. Virginia has toured throughout the world performing and instructing.

Ensemble

Virginia's professional performing company is now known as Virginia Wa Nour Al Ayun. This translates to “the light of my eyes” which embraces the brilliance this special group of performers brings to the stage. Virginia and her Ensemble are a professional dance company comprised of talented, beautiful and exotic women. The company, under Virginia’s direction,
has been invited to perform on television, in productions and a variety of art and cultural events, including features on MTV and NBC’s So You Think You Can Dance? With a grand repertoire of dances and specialty performances, they are the most sought-after bellydance performance companies in Miami. Each performer has extensive training with some of the most legendary artists of Middle Eastern dance, and have invested many hours of class and
rehearsal in polishing their craft. Principals in all of Virginia’s productions (Echoes of Cairo, Odalisca Oriental, Cairo Cabaret, “Egyptia”, Amal Hayati), these dancers break new ground wherever they are seen. In Miami, the group works at a variety of Middle Eastern establishments, corporate events, and weddings. They have been invited to perform in Paris, France, Buenos Aires, Argentina, Caracas, Venezuela, New York City, NY, Dallas, Texas, Orlando, Florida and more. Currently, the Ensemble is working on a full-length theater production in Miami scheduled for Fall 2007. Virginia Wa Nour Al Ayun have recently toured with reknowned Egyptian singer Mustafa Amar on several of his dates in the U.S. and for the Saudi Arabian Royal Family.
